Mateo Joseph has sung the praises of manager Daniel Farke for the guidance he gave the young Leeds United striker throughout the season on opportunities he would get before Chelsea brace
One of the many projects Daniel Farke seems to be delivering on in 2024 has been Mateo Joseph’s development at Leeds United. The striker has been in and around United’s matchday squads since September, slowly increasing his match time and climbing the pecking order over six months.
As with so many of the decisions he has made this season, Farke did not allow himself to get carried away or overly emotional after Joseph’s breakthrough display. The Spanish under-21 international was kept on the bench three days later at Huddersfield Town, but got the best part of 20 minutes against Stoke City and could have had another two goals with a fraction more luck.
“It’s true. He didn’t lie. It’s been really good and I cannot wait to keep working under him and achieve things here.”
