Lieutenant-Colonel Pieter Joubert told the court how Nafiz Modack became the common thread in various murders allegedly committed by members of the Terrible West Siders gang.
CAPE TOWN - A senior Hawks officer has started connecting the dots to show how alleged underworld gang boss, Nafiz Modack, was running a criminal enterprise.
The investigating officer for the Kinnear murder case is testifying about how he linked Modack to the crimes he has been accused of. Joubert said his investigation into the murder of Nicholaas Heerschap in July 2019 presented Modack as a person of interest. Joubert said that after becoming the investigating officer for the murder of Kinnear in September 2020, Zane Kilian was arrested shortly after the incident.
