A Hawkeye deleted scene arrives and introduces Kingpin properly in Echo's flashback scene rather than the initial tease of the final cut. Vincent D'Onofrio first brought the iconic villain to life in Netflix's Daredevil series, part of the streamer's shows with loose connections to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Following the show's cancellation, all of their futures remained up in the air until Kingpin made his return in Hawkeye as the ultimate main antagonist of the series.
Hawkeye takes primary inspiration from Matt Fraction and David Aja's 2012 comic book run and sees the titular former Avenger have to put his family vacation on hold when superfan Kate Bishop inadvertently draws the target of the Tracksuit Mafia after donning the Ronin costume.
The other notable element of the Hawkeye deleted scene is its proper introduction of Kingpin in the series and return to the MCU with the flashback sequence.
