Mental-health advocates have become increasingly worried after Ottawa failed to deliver on its promise to provide provinces funding through a Canada Mental Health Transfer. It was a Liberal election promise and recent mandate letter directive.

In its election platform and mandate letters, the party promised to transfer money to the provinces for mental-health care, but hasn’t done so.
