Have a smartphone and want to help science? Join the national 'bioblitz' this weekend!
NCC is asking Canadians to grab their smartphones to collect “critical information” on species populations and locations in the third-annual Big Backyard BioBlitz from July 28 to August 1.
Scientists and conservation planners can use the information for future protection and restoration efforts across the country. “Whether you log an invasive plant like garlic mustard, or a rare bird like the red-headed woodpecker, every entry counts,” conservation science manager Samantha Knight said in a release.
