The Duke of Sussex will be returning to the UK for a special Invictus Games event, it has been confirmed, but his wife, Meghan Markle is not expected to be joining him
Prince Harry is returning to the UK for a special event, but Meghan Markle is not expected to accompany him. The Duke of Sussex, 39, will attend the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral, on Wednesday 8 May, an Invictus Games representative has confirmed.
The confirmation of his UK trip comes after days of speculation about whether he would be present at the service, which commemorates the 10th anniversary of the games that support injured military personnel. It will be Harry's first visit to the UK since his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton shared the news that she is undergoing cancer treatment, following her surgery in January.
Harry and Meghan stepped down from their roles as senior working royals in 2020, subsequently relocating to the US. They now reside in Montecito, California, with their two children, Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two.
