Clean-up crews work to get the Speedway store on East High Street in Carlisle ready to reopen after a violent, armed robbery early Thursday that left an employee injured.A man who held up a Carlisle convenience store at knifepoint last spring, but dropped personal identification cards that made him an instant suspect, was sentenced Tuesday to 7 to 14 years in state prison for the crime.
As the cashier prepared to ring Brown up for the ticket, he noticed Brown had pulled out a knife, according to the affidavit of probably cause. Police responding to the scene found Brown’s wallet on the floor, with his identification inside, the affidavit said. Surveillance camera footage also showed he was the only customer in the store at the time of the stabbing, police said.
