Vice President Kamala Harris has made the battle for Sun Belt swing states more competitive with former President Donald Trump.The other three states are within the margins of error.President Joe Biden won the other three competitive Sun Belt states last election. But Trump was leading Biden 50% to 41% across Arizona, Georgia and Nevada in Times/Siena polls conducted in May.
Now it’s Harris atop the Democratic ticket. And the new Times/Siena polls, conducted this week, show her down just a single percentage point in Nevada, 48% to 47%.shows six true toss-up states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The Cook Political Report shows North Carolina leaning Republican.
The Times reported that its polls show “some risk” for Harris, with more voters viewing her as too liberal compared to voters who see Trump as too conservative .from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research showed Trump with the advantage on two key issues: the economy and immigration.
