A man allegedly set his wife on fire and then locked himself inside the garage as the northwest Harris County home burned on Monday morning, authorities say. They were both found dead.
The sheriff's office says the apparent murder-suicide occurred in the 6500 block of Desert Rose Lane around 1 a.m.FOX 26 Houston is now on the FOX LOCAL app available through Apple TV, Amazon FireTV, Roku, Google Android TV, and Vizio!According to the sheriff's office, the couple's adult son called 911 and reported that his dad had set his mother on fire and then locked himself in the garage while the house continued to burn.
When the fire was extinguished, the husband and wife were both found dead.Authorities identified the wife as 58-year-old Tuybach Ho and the husband as 62-year-old Tien Trinh.The sheriff’s office says, at this point in the investigation, the husband is believed to have acted alone in the killing of his wife, and investigators believe the husband died in the home due to the fire he set.An autopsy will determine any additional injuries to the wife.
