Harriet Dart put up a valiant effort on day one at Wimbledon but smashed her racket in frustration after her loss to Diane Parry.
But the London-born ace lost 6-7 6-0 6-4 on court 12 and she threw down her racket after congratulating her competitor, invoking memories of John McEnroe.
