Happy Valley star Mollie Winnard has revealed that there was an alternative scene for her character Joanna Hepworth's death on the hit BBC One drama.
During the scenes, Joanna told the pharmacist that she had told her abusive husband, Rob , about their arrangement as they originally planned to murder the PE teacher to keep him silent. The two characters then got into an altercation where Faisal repeatedly hit Joanna over the head with a nearby rolling pin and the episode ended with the pharmacist grabbing a syringe to fill it with air to finish her off.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, the actress said: "Joanna’s death wasn’t supposed to be with a rolling pin; it was originally a golf club.
