The teenager was found on Hackney Road near the junction with Cremer Street just before 23:00 GMT, the Metropolitan Police said.Det Ch Supt James Conway said there had been no arrests."I can assure them that we will be relentless in seeking to identify whoever was responsible for this murder."Extra police patrols would be in place across Shoreditch, Det Ch Supt Conway added.
Police said the boy's next of kin had been informed and a post-mortem examination and formal identification would be arranged in due course.
