Erling Haaland equals Tottenham and Liverpool stars' Golden Boot tallies in just 20 games MCFC
Erling Haaland scored for a hat-trick for the fourth time in the Premier League this season – and it takes his goal tally to a significant milestone.
The first, a header from a Kevin De Bruyne cross, took his total to 23 league goals for the season – a figure that would already have won him a share of the Golden Boot in the last three seasons. His third couldn’t be easier as Riyad Mahrez intercepted Jose Sa’s pass out from the back and played in Haaland for a tap in.That treble meant it was the fourth time he scored a hat-trick in the Premier League this season, beating Cristiano Ronaldo’s previous record of three in total across two spells at Manchester United.
