AKRON, Ohio — A 15-year-old girl is in a hospital in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the face after another teen accidentally fired a gun inside an East Akron home, police say.
Levell Gary, 18, is charged with felonious assault in connection with the shooting, which occurred just before 11 p.m. Friday. The unidentified victim was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital and her wound is considered non-life-threatening, according to police. A witness tells police that Gary, who lives in the home, shot the girl accidentally while both were in the living room.
