Cosmo the Spacedog is getting an expanded role in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and will be voiced by Maria Bakalova. SDCC
Fan favorite Marvel canine Cosmo The Spacedog is joining Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and the voice for the character has been revealed. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to be the final entry in this current interation of the Guardians and the final one directed by James Gunn. The film is set for release on May 5, 2023, and will see the team face off against The High Evolutionary played by actor Chukwudi Iwuji.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Related: Guardians of the Galaxy: Every Marvel Easter Egg In The Collector's Museum Bakalova was already confirmed to join the cast back in June 2022 but it was unknown what character she was playing. The character of Cosmo is rumored to appear in The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special coming to Disney+ in December so that might be where audiences first hear Cosmo speak in the MCU setting. While a relatively new character in the comics, Cosmo has already appeared in both the Guardians of the Galaxy animated series and the recent video game.
