The Canadian Association of PPE Manufacturers is raising concerns about a $47-million deal between the federal and provincial governments and the American company 3M., it included the manufacturing of 50-million N95 respirators over a five-year period. As well, 3M said it would be expanding its facility in Brockville, producing 30 jobs.
In a statement to The Canadian Press, a Queen’s Park spokesperson said 93 per cent of PPE over the next 18 months will have come from domestic companies.Ctrl+Enter
