According to the Federal Aviation Administration, two private jets clipped their wings as they were moving on the airfield at 3:30 p.m.FAA officials said the aircrafts involved have been declared fire-safe by HFD. A ground stop was issued due to the debris caused by the accident. The airfield has been shut down until further notice.
FAA officials said the airport is working to safely clear debris to restore operations as soon as possible.
