As cargo volumes at its joint-venture port operations in Mozambique grew by double-digits, boosting the group's financial performance.
Grindrod Limited – the Durban-headquartered ports and logistics services group – has increased its total dividends to ordinary shareholders by 84% for its 2023 financial year.
Grindrod’s headline earnings for the year jumped 29%, to just over R1.35 billion, buoyed by a 16% increase in Ebitda . The group highlighted in its results Sens statement that its Port and Terminals division saw headline earnings growth of 35% compared to its prior year. The group also noted that that the conveyor belt linking Grindrod’s Navitrade dry-bulk facility in Richards Bay is now commissioned.
