The France international has had an unusual start to the 2022/23 campaign, having been used sparingly by Simeone due to a clause Atleti and Barca had agreed in the original terms of his loan deal, but that will no longer be an issue. At no other club has the Macon native been more prolific than he has been at home of the 11-time LaLiga champions, with Griezmann having scored 144 goals in just 304 appearances for the Rojiblancos.
