Ann and Gerard Stark lost their son Richard to a suspected seizure and want the dead to be granted more dignity
A grieving family is begging the Scottish Government for a complete overhaul in the post mortem process to give dignity to the dead.
“No one would question the important role and responsibility of the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service in the investigation of sudden, suspicious, accidental and unexplained deaths in Scotland. However, many people feel that the He went to work but started feeling sick and his bosses sent him to hospital. Medics suggested to Richard that he may have had a seizure but he never told his parents.
When police attended Richard’s sudden death Ann asked that there would be only a “grant and view” - an external look around the body - and not a full post mortem examination.
