Euphoria star Eric Dane debunked a fan theory that his character Cal would be a catalyst for a subtle Grey's Anatomy crossover. Sam Levinson's HBO drama starring Zendaya is in the midst of season 2. While providing insights into each character's complicated back story, there has been a focus on the teenage life of Cal, the troubled father of Nate Jacobs .
Currently, Euphoria has been sharing flashbacks of young Cal , particularly focused on his friendship with a boy named Derek . In the most recent episode, the pair take a trip to a gay bar and share a kiss. Cal's hope for any future relationship with Derek ends when Cal's girlfriend calls him the following day to tell him that she is pregnant.
HBO is dropping episodes of Euphoria weekly, so there are still a lot of unanswered questions in Cal's story. Mainly, what will come of the NSFW tape he made of him and Jules that ended up in the hands of Maddy ? Also, will Nate ever be able to come to terms with the trauma his dad caused him in order to prevent himself from repeating the same patterns? It looks like fans will need to just keep watching Euphoria season 2 to find out more. Just don't expect a Dempsey cameo anytime soon. .
