Customers were left wondering
Shoppers in Clifton were left wondering what had happened to their local branch of Greggs when they found it closed on Wednesday, September 28. However, there's good news for the fans of sausage rolls, steak bakes and star biscuits as the closure appears to be a temporary blip.
The shop, in Southchurch Drive, was able to reopen this morning but only until midday. A sign posted in the window alerted customers that the closure is due to staff illness and also informed them about a limited sandwich range. It's not known when operating hours will return to normal. Nottinghamshire Live has contacted Greggs' head office but has yet to receive a response about how long it's likely to be before it's fully up and running once again.
