Gusts up of up 70mph are expected in some parts of the country
Wet and windy weather is forecast up and down the UK this weekend as Storm Kathleen is set to sweep much of the country.
Weather warnings for snow, wind, and rain are in place across Scotland, England, and Northern Ireland, with 'unseasonably strong winds' expected to batter parts of western Britain on Saturday. Gusts of up to 50mph are expected 'widely', according to the Met Office, while some exposed areas could see winds reaching 60 to 70 mph, with large waves also 'likely' in coastal areas.
But warmer temperatures are also on the horizon, with temperatures in parts of the country likely to reach around 20C, forecasters say.
