A much-loved grandad who was 'pottering around in his garden' moments before leaving home, catching a bus and suddenly vanishing has now been found - supping a pint in a Manchester Wetherspoons pub.
In a further updated appeal on Monday, September 18, the police issued some more information saying he was last seen at 2.15pm on the 184 bus heading towards Huddersfield. They also shared a CCTV image of Ronald. Now, eight days after he walked out of his front door and didn't return, Ronald Webster has been found alive and well by Greater Manchester Police. Ronald's granddaughter, Paige Tattersall, posted to Facebook: "They have found him!!!! Will update properly soon but he's coming home!" The post has so far has 1.9K likes as people flock to share their relief.
In a statement, the force added that a member of the public reported a sighting to an Operation Vulcan officer in Piccadilly Gardens today. The officer found the man in a nearby premises and contacted the investigation team so they could make arrangements for him to return home.
