Merseyside Police were present when protesters arrived at the racecourse on Saturday morning and said earlier in the week that they were prepared to deal “robustly” with any protesters that tried to enter Aintree and stopOrganisers of the Grand National Festival also issued a warning, asking Animal Rising to consider whether efforts to hamper the race could in fact cause more harm than good.
