In the opening episode of tonight’s new series, we were introduced to Zahid and Ferzana, who, in 2019, had bought an obsolete Coastguard station in East Yorkshire, planning to turn it into a family bolt-hole. Yes, it was basically falling down, but Zahid, owner of a business which builds affordable retail units, seemed more equipped than most of‘ hapless dreamers to make his vision a reality. His son, Yusuf, an architecture graduate, was signed on to project manage.
