Health compact a commitment to achieving universal health coverage.

Health Minister Dr Aaron Motsoaledi says government must move with speed in implementing the Health Compact. The Health Compact has been described as a framework of cooperation between critical sectors in South Africa that influence good health outcomes.

“We are now at the point where the compact must move into action. An improved health outcomes and impact must be felt. We are ready to get our marching orders from you Acting President and President Ramaphosa. We are very ready.” Government, civil society, labour and health professionals joined Paul Mashatile in signing the health compact. The Presidential Health Compact is a framework of cooperation between critical sectors that significantly influence good health outcomes.
