While the National Assembly unanimously adopted a Bill that would allow the state to gather the DNA of serious offenders, opposition MPs lamented that crimes had been committed against women and children by rapists and murders who would have been in the system if the executive hadn't dithered with the drafting of the Bill.
In one of the rare occurrences where all parties support a Bill, the National Assembly on Tuesday adopted the Criminal Law Amendment Bill.
