Wolf acknowledged on a Pittsburgh-based morning radio show that his mail-in ballot for Tuesday's primary was done 'by the book'
Gov. Tom Wolf said he personally delivered his mail-in ballot to the post office – with a witness along – a week ago to cast his vote for Tuesday's primary election after admitting in November he made an "honest mistake" by asking his wife to drop off his ballot for him. File photo/PennLive.com Gov. Tom Wolf can’t be accused of making the same mistake twice, at least not when it comes to voting.
“I guess they say ignorance of the law is no defense, but I’m sorry,” he said on a subsequent interview on that same radio show. “I apologize.” Violating this law can be punishable by up to one year in prison, a fine of up to $1,000 or both. Wolf was never prosecuted for breaking that election law.
