The order followed the governorship and the House of Assembly elections scheduled for March 18.
The statement tasked Chief Inspectors of Education across the state to disseminate the information to all Principals/ Head Teachers in their respective Local Government Areas.
The statement read, “I am directed to refer to the above subject and to inform you that the forthcoming governorship and State House of Assembly elections slated for Saturday, March 18, 2023, with collation of results to follow. “Subsequently, all Primary and Secondary Schools in the State are to proceed on a break from Friday 17th to Tuesday March, 2023.
“You are kindly requested to disseminate this information to all Principals/Head Teachers in your Local Government Areas.”All rights reserved.
