The letter, which was signed by dozens of Muslim organizations and headed by the Philadelphia Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said leaders were disturbed by Shapiro's comments about the conflict.Shapiro, who is Jewish, condemned the attacks and kidnappings and tweeted on Oct. 9 that 'Israel has the right to defend itself.
