If you start asking too many questions about what Monday’s 8\u002D2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings means, you might not like the answers.
The real question for the Flames now is whether Monday was just a bad game, or whether it was a sign of something bigger.
Are there problems playing out behind the scenes? There are rumours, sure, but the Flames themselves have remained adamant that everyone in the locker room believes in the team they’ve got. All we can do is believe them, although questions will only grow louder with performances like Monday. They’re going to have to play desperate, though. They’re going to need to outwork their opponents down the stretch and play their best hockey of the season.“They outworked us from the drop of the puck and in pretty much every facet of the game,” Flames forward Trevor Lewis told reporters. “We were too slow and got outworked and that’s what happens.”
