The veteran politician will be the mayoral candidate for Surrey First.
Veteran politician Gordie Hogg announced Wednesday that he will be running for mayor of B.C.’s fastest-growing municipality under the Surrey First slate.
“When it comes to the election in October, the question for Surrey voters is clear: have you had enough yet, and do you believe we can do better, together?” said Hogg in a prepared statement. Surrey First is running two other candidates for council: Bilal Cheema, an advisor for federal ministers, and Mary-Em Waddington, executive director of the non-profit B.C. Technology for Learning Society, which collects and redistributes computers and laptops to schools and low-income families.
