Google to begin deleting certain Gmail accounts
Google says that inactive Google accounts will start getting deleted after 1st December 2023.
The company has earmarked 1st December 2023 as the starting date for the deletions so if you have a Gmail account that you want to keep but haven’t used in a while, perhaps you should log in and send a test mail., with nearly 2 billion users worldwide. It is unknown how many of these users have more than one account, nor how many are active or inactive.
This makes these accounts more vulnerable to threats like phishing, hacking and spam. Google says that the first accounts to be rubbished will be those created and never revisited by a user.
