Google Search added support to continuous scrolling to desktop searches - here's what it means and how it works.

Most Google searches will yield at least one result on the first page that’s good enough. That means most people probably won’t have to scroll all six of those pages. But some queries might look for specific things that are more difficult to find on a first pass. Refining your search by using better keywords should improve the list of results.
Starting today, we’re bringing continuous scrolling to desktop in English in the U.S. so you can continue to see more search results easily. When you reach the bottom of a search results page, you'll now be able to see up to six pages of results.
