Eskom said that generating capacity due to unplanned outages stood at 15,611MW, while a further 5,487MW was unavailable due to planned maintenance. Instead of stage 2 load-shedding from 16:00 on Tuesday until 05:00 on Wednesday, Eskom will now implement stage 3 load-shedding.From 05:00 on Wednesday, stage 2 load-shedding will be implemented until 16:00.
“This alternating pattern of stage 2 load-shedding from 05:00 until 16:00 and stage 3 load-shedding from 16:00 until 05:00 will be repeated daily until further notice,” Eskom said. “Eskom will closely monitor the power system and provide an update should any significant changes occur.The table below summarises the updated load-shedding schedule from Tuesday, 12 March 2024.
