Bathgate golfing star Stephen Gallacher joins three other deserving locals who received medals in the King’s Birthday Honours.

Dr Irving is treasurer of Mill Cottage Hut at Cairngorms National Park, treasurer of the Glen Brittle Memorial Hut on Skye and a member of, and lately chair, of Forth Valley Mountaineering Club. He has received his award for services to Outdoor Activities and Health in Scotland.
