The Bay of Quinte Mutual Insurance Company raised the money last week at their annual charity golf tournament.
More than 100 golfers took part in the event at Timber Ridge Golf Course in Brighton with all proceeds benefitting Hospice Quinte’s The Comfort of Home annual fundraising campaign. “As Board Chair for the Bay of Quinte Mutual Insurance Company, I had the privilege of selecting a charity to receive the proceeds from this year’s golf tournament and I chose Hospice Quinte because I have seen firsthand the very special care and support Hospice provides to individuals at end-of-life, and their loved ones,” says Fred Lang.
“We are very grateful to have been chosen as this year’s lucky recipients of the Bay of Quinte Mutual Insurance Company’s charity golf tournament,” says Hospice Quinte Executive Director, Jennifer May-Anderson. “This $12,000 contribution to The Comfort of Home campaign helps our organization to deliver world-class hospice palliative care across the Quinte region this year.”
Hospice Quinte’s The Comfort of Home campaign goal for 2022-2023 is $500,000 with donations allowing the organization to provide free to access hospice and caregiver and bereavement support services, including those being provided at its renowned Stan Klemencic Care Centre.
