Government workers make more, take more sick days, and have better pensions than private sector employees, according to a study.

Almost one in five Ontario workers are employed in the public sector, compared to 65.3% in the private sector and 15% self-employed. “The differences are amplified by the monopoly environment in which the government sector operates, while the private sector faces a competitive environment.”
