Glou Glou Girls is a new wine service that specializes in natural wine.
, and looks forward to many more collaborations in Glou Glou Girls's future. McLoughlin credits her European parents for exposing her to wine culture early, and as we finish our pet nat and move on to dirty martinis, she's philosophical about the role that wine can play in all of our lives.
Despite its winking name, McLoughlin stresses that Glou Glou Girls is open for membership to people of all genders: "We have a decent amount of Glou Glou Guys," says McLoughlin, adding that wine has infiltrated every part of her life to the point that she knew she had fallen hard for her boyfriend when he got a stick-and-poke tattoo of a wine bottle.
As McLoughlin and I polish off our fries and put in an order for a final round of dirty martinis, our conversation shifts to the always-elusive concept of "wellness." It's a subject that McLoughlin has many thoughts on: "What I really love about natural wine is that you can imbibe a bit, get a little bit tipsy, and then still wake up and go for that run.
