Glencoe village staff and board members are looking into potential plans for revamping council chambers.

Last year, staff initiated the process and eventually received three concepts for improvements with a budget range with one as low as nearly $696,000 to the most expensive one being nearly $847,000. Pape added there is the possibility of additional costs for asbestos removal.
There would also be carpet replacement, painting of the walls and woodwork improvements in all of the three options.Pape said in the least expensive concept, the room configuration stays in the current arrangement with all of the new equipment including new monitors and a mobile podium.
