Platform 18 is coming to an end after nine years of the street festival.
After nine years of massively successful street parties, Glasgow's Platform 18 will be coming to an end this year with one last goodbye.
Artists include Chicago house music legend, Derrick Carter, ‘The Wizard’ Jeff Mills, Belgian techno specialist Amelie Lens and Scotland’s dance pro Richie Hawtin.A statement from Platform 18 chiefs read: “After nine years of powerhouse parties under the bridge at West Street, 2022 marks The Final Stop for Glasgow’s Platform 18 Festival.
Ivan said: “It’s with a heavy heart that I will be hanging up the headphones down at West Street this year, it’s been such an extraordinary nine years which has given me the opportunity to build a unique electronic party and book my favourite DJs along the way. The whole experience has shaped me into the man I am today and I can’t recommend enough to any young expiring promoters out there to just go for it, anything is possible if you have the vision and passion.
