A Glasgow local has cashed in on their loose change after managing to sell a rare 50p coin on eBay for an eye-watering sum of £10,000.
Described as being a 'very rare find' by the seller, the coin was launched on the date of Brexit on January 31, 2020 with "Peace, Prosperity and Friendship With All Nations" written on it. The 'Queen Elizabeth II 50p: UK Withdrawal from European Union' coin was issued in 2020. Change Checker explained: " On the 31st January 2020 the United Kingdom left the European Union – over three and half years after the Vote.
