Fans of the Outlander star are being asked to bring donations to the event on Sunday
Sam Heughan, who rose to fame for his role in smash-hit Outlander, has asked fans to take foodbank donations to his Glasgow book signing this weekend.
The Scottish star is usually flooded with gifts from his loyal fanbase, however, publisher Radar Books have requested that the gifts are swapped for donations to help those in need this Christmas. They took to Twitter on Tuesday and announced they have been 'overwhelmed,' with gifts given to Sam across many Waypoints events this year already.
"If you have a ticket to the upcoming Waterstones Sauchiehall Street signing and you plan to bring a gift, instead of presents for Sam personally we ask that you bring items that we can donate The Trussel Trust Glasgow SE Foodbank."The appeal comes as more families struggle with the rising cost of living.
