Glasgow Botanic Gardens has snapped up a prestigious award for the 13th year running with other city green spaces recognisedBeautiful has announced the four parks and green spaces in Glasgow that have been presented with a Green Flag Award.
“We take great pride in our Dear Green Place and appreciate the huge role our parks and greenspaces play in enhancing and protecting natural habitats for biodiversity, fostering the physical and mental“The Green Flag Awards provide national recognition of all the hard work that goes into nurturing the city’s flora and fauna and making greenspaces like the Botanics safe, welcoming and productive places not only for people but for nature and wildlife too.
Administered in Scotland by Keep Scotland Beautiful, the Green Flag Award supports the opportunities that our green spaces provide to enable exercise, improve mental wellbeing and provide safe spaces for play.
