A Glasgow artist was left gobsmacked when he found out that he was being sued by the rights holders of 2013 smash hit Wolf of Wall Street.
The 29-year-old took to TikTok to explain how he is now one of more than 100 people across the globe that have received a shocking email.He told Glasgow Live: "I never actually saw the email come in, it was actually another artist that told me."I was obviously shocked. Essentially the image I painted has a copyright on it. Obviously a lot of the work I do involves movies and individuals.
Jordan Belfort, who is the inspiration behind the film, sued Red Granite Productions for $300million in 2020 after claiming he was lied to when he sold the rights to his story. The artist said: "I spoke to a lawyer last Monday but because it is an attorney in Florida that has filed it they told me I need to speak to a US attorney.
