Tuesday. The offering features a selection of pieces with couture-inspired codes and tailoring for women and men. Select looks from the collection will also be showcased in the luxury retailer’s windows during the launch.
The capsule, which features 28 styles, is designed in the spirit of Parisian elegance with a dash of American ease. Key signatures from Hubert de’s repertoire, such as bows, lace and pearls, appear on elevated occasionwear designed by creative director Matthew M. Williams. The looks include little black dresses, jackets, tops, suits and trousers. Givenchy previously did a capsule with Bergdorf’s in 2019.
Yumi Shin, chief merchandising officer at Bergdorf’s, said, ” We have a long history of extraordinary partnerships with the house, including the 2019 exclusive takeover with their couture collection, and this initiative is no different. From our famous windows to women’s and men’s pieces in-store, we look forward to presenting this exquisite collection — rooted in the house’s timeless glamour — to our customers.
The capsule is offered in a palette of black and white. For example, there’s shimmery black lace layered over black chiffon in a jacket, pants, and blouse offering a ladylike take on evening transparency; a monastic long-sleeve gown reveals a plunging back.
Givenchy Atelier accessories include a versatile mini version of the Kenny bag, in dusty gold leather or in black silk with a silver 4G chain and signature padlock, and a high-heeled slingback pump that also comes in dusty gold calf leather.Prices range from $650 for a T-shirt to $8,500 for a gown.
