Swarnlata Mishra was only three-years-old when she began recalling memories from her alleged past lives as Biya Pathak and Kamlesh Methi.
A woman who claims she has been reincarnated twice has been recalling vivid memories of her past lives from as young as three-years-old, the Mirror reports. Swarnlata Mishra first shocked her parents as a toddler when they were travelling through Northern India, almost 100 miles from where she lived and she asked them to make a turn to 'my house'.
He managed to track down a family who he thought matched her descriptions of her former home, what was nearby and the unusual fact that her past family at the time had a car. He concluded that Swarnlata could be referring to Biya Pathak who died at forty years old, nine years before the youngster was born.
She assumed the position of Hindu wives in the presence of their husband, including covering her head and was also able to point him out of a group of men in a photograph from forty years ago. Swarnlata also confidently recognised three of her brothers and put them in the correct birth order along with the woman's sisters in law.
She also incorrectly stated that Biya had died of throat disease which she was actually successfully treated for before dying from heart disease a few months later. However, after visiting her old home and being able to point out various things such as Biya's old bedroom and the river where her family would wash their clothes, the Pathak family accepted that Swarnlata was Biya reincarnated.
Both of the Pathaks and the Methi families accepted Swarnlata as her own. Expert, Dr Ian Stevenson noted in his 1966 book, Twenty Cases Suggestive of Reincarnation that Swarnlata's case is particularly unusual as most children who claim to have lived past life usually forget about details as they get older.
