Police discovered the children with serious injuries after arriving at the property to arrest a 49-year-old woman in connection with another incident.
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after two young children were found dead inside a house.
However, upon entering the house, officers found a seven-year-old girl and boy, aged 11, with serious injuries, the Mirror reports. Paramedics desperately tried to save the two youngsters, but they were tragically pronounced dead at the scene. "Officers then went to a home on Flax Street and arrested a 49-year-old woman from Stoke-on-Trent in connection with the stabbing. While we were at the address, two children were found unresponsive with significant injuries inside.
