The Maryland Zoo shared a sweet video on its Facebook page earlier this month, in which a giraffe — named Caesar — could be seen catching raindrops in his mouth.

In the clip, Caesar is in his exhibit, approaching a zookeeper who holds a set of treats for the animal, including an edible figurine made in his likeness.

"I promise it's stuff that you've eaten before," the staff member tells Caesar, who appears a bit apprehensive to taste the treat.PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from juicy celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. After nibbling on some carrots and lettuce, zoo employees attempted one final time to feed Caesar the look-a-like item, though the giraffe still refused to try the edible gift.

"Happy 17th birthday, Caesar!" the zoo wrote in the birthday post's caption. "Just like a picky teenager to not like his cake. 😂."
